Some results are worth sharing. Protech, a leading provider of recruitment and labour hire solutions operating across Australia, recorded a 65 percent reduction in workplace injuries after introducing Carelever’s PredictFit. The data comes from a full-year review covering 30 September 2024 to 30 September 2025.
The improvements were consistent across key measures. High severity injuries fell by 70 percent. Lost time injuries dropped by 94 percent. Across the same period, Protech completed more than 18,000 digital screenings with an average turnaround time of 2.9 hours. Hiring remained fast and safety outcomes improved at the same time.
Protech had been facing familiar challenges. A national mobile workforce made centralised medicals difficult. Slow turnarounds created onboarding delays. Traditional screening did not offer the predictive insight needed to reduce risk. PredictFit provided a fully digital approach that delivered the required speed and accuracy. Online assessments allowed national coverage with consistent sub three hour turnaround times.
Protech’s Chief People and Compliance Officer, Natalie Stewart, noted the impact of this shift.
“The introduction of PredictFit has helped Protech continue to evolve our onboarding process. By embracing innovation and new technology we can continue to deliver Quality People. Every Time.”
One of the most valuable findings was the confirmation that PredictFit’s risk flags align with real world outcomes. Workers identified as Fit with Considerations or Medical Review Required were more likely to experience early tenure injuries with higher severity. This allowed Protech to act earlier and reduce incidents before they occurred.
The model also continued to learn. Fit, Fit with Considerations and Medical Review Required outcomes adjusted over the year in a way that improved targeting and surfaced risk more reliably.
The overall operational picture was simple. Fewer injuries. Faster onboarding. Stronger insurer confidence. Clear reductions in claims. Protech achieved the dual goal of speed and safety without compromise.
